Harvard and MIT courses in web development plus web design/administration experience.

Creator of graphics published in print and on the web.

Over fifteen years' experience as newsletter editor.

Software packages used include web tools, desktop publishing, document and equation editing, computer graphics, scanning, database, and personal organizer/scheduler tools in environments including Macintosh, Windows and Unix.


 

As of June 2013 I am available to build and maintain web pages only on a pro bono basis. (Gifts are welcome!)

Created and maintained web pages and web graphics. Assisted in the planning, design, organization and development of pages and sites which could function on a variety of platforms. Helped train library staff in the application of web style guidelines and the use of Dreamweaver and various CSAs.

Produce publication-ready illustrations based on technical drawings and other images.

Newsletter Editor, The New England Gilbert and Sullivan Society, Arlington, MA

 

Edited and published The Trumpet Bray in both paper and web editions 8 - 10 times yearly, currently using Microsoft Word and Dreamweaver in a Windows environment. Created and continue to maintain the Society's web site. Active member of the Society's executive board.

Senior Secretary, MIT Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics

 

Produced internal documents, correspondence and scientific reports; created publication-ready graphics in Adobe Illustrator and other programs. Formated user interfaces for new databases in FileMakerPro. Used HTML programming skills to maintain the (no longer functional) ICE Laboratory web site. Use Microsoft Office Suite (including Equation Editor), PageMaker, and PageMill, in a Macintosh environment. Perform varied office duties, reporting to two division heads plus other faculty members.
